The Northside Fire District is home to the F.B. Peck Hose Company. We are a volunteer department that strives to deliver the highest level of response to the residents of our District and neighboring communities.
Our department is led by Chief Dan Sheffer and Assistant Chief Shawn Gilbert. They have come to their positions with many years of service, advanced training, and a variety of professional backgrounds.

At present, we respond to roughly 200 +/- fire, rescue and emergency medical calls per year. By utilizing training, proven tactics and appropriate technology, Northside Fire District provides professional and effective protection to more than 4 square miles and 4,000 residents.
In addition to helping your neighbors, being a volunteer firefighter is an extremely rewarding experience. We are always looking for new members to help us serve our community. If you ever wondered what it takes, or if you simply would like to know more about your fire department, stop by during our Wednesday night truck check/drill between 7 and 9pm. Or just contact us by
